Colbie Caillat Sings During 81st All-star Game
Pop/Country and western star Colbie Caillat who shot to fame with her 2007 hit 'Bubbly', sang last night (13th July) at the 81st Major League Baseball All-Star game. Colbie, who is twenty five years old, sang 'God Bless America' during the seventh-inning stretch at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
There was a packed crowd for the game which was kicked off by Amber Riley, The Glee clubs own Mercedes Jones, performing a rendition of Star Spangled Banner, the national anthem of the United States of America. Fans from north of the border were represented by 'The Canadian Tenors', Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira and Fraser Walters, singing 'O Canada' their own national anthem.
The All-Star game concluded a 5 day series of events in Anaheim which has had an estimated economic value of $85 million for the region. MyFoxLa.com reported that Mayor Pringle commented "We're glad that Anaheim and the Angels have been able to partner on hosting the All-Star Game because it allows people to celebrate that team that's here and celebrate the city as they celebrate baseball."
