British singer Cheryl Cole's brother has been jailed for six years for his part in an armed robbery at a post office in England last May (10).
Andrew Tweedy was found guilty on charges of conspiracy to rob and possession of a firearm with intent.
He confessed to helping to mastermind the heist along with four others at a postal store in North Tyneside, in which the gang brandished an imitation handgun at owners.
On Friday (11Mar11) a judge handed the 30 year old a six year sentence. His girlfriend Emma Stanners was cleared of money laundering.
The other members of the armed gang were also given significant stints behind bars.
