SEAN 'P DIDDY' COMBS will press on with his search for an allgirl group for a second season of MAKING THE BAND 3, after the original contestants failed to impress him.

The rap mogul will have three of the first season's contestants return to compete against a fresh batch of hopefuls, with open call auditions starting later this month (MAY05) in New York.

Auditions also will be held in Washington, Detroit, Dallas, San Francisco and Orlando, among other locations.

Combs says in a statement, "Get ready for the next season of Making the Band, 'cause believe me, we're gonna make a band."

Contestants are judged on their dancing ability, vocal talent, star power and willingness to be part of a group. Those who don't meet Combs' standards are eliminated.
