Renowned conductor Kurt Masur was hospitalised last week (ends29Apr12) after losing his balance and falling off stage during a concert in Paris, France.
The 84 year old, who is the former principal conductor with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, stumbled from the stand while leading the National Orchestra of France on Thursday night (26Apr12).
He was hospitalised after the fall and remains under doctors' care while he recovers.
A statement from the National Orchestra of France, reads, "After a reassuring in-depth examination, (Masur) is resting in hospital. He took a few steps this morning and is expected to leave hospital soon."
