Connery Still Best Bond
SIR Sean Connery has been voted the best James Bond of all time, retaining his place as the world's favourite 007. A poll by sci-fi magazine SFX also named 1964's Goldfinger as the best 007 movie of all, and Ursula Andress the best Bond girl. The survey, conducted in advance of new Bond movie Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig, put Pierce Brosnan in second place on the Best Bonds list, followed by Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and GEORGE LAZENBY. SFX Editor DAVE BRADLEY says, "Everyone has their own memories about their favourite James Bond, characters, and unforgettable moments from the movies. "Connery was the quintessential Bond - he was so strong in the role that even though successive generations in the meantime have grown up with their own new James Bonds, Connery is the still the ultimate 007."
