Late actor Corey Haim's mother has backed a campaign by fans to secure the '80s film icon an honour on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The former child star, who died in 2010 due to a combination of heart problems, pneumonia and blood flow issues, appeared in a number of hit movies including The Lost Boys, License to Drive, Watchers and Dream A Little Dream.
Fans have launched a drive to raise $40,000 (£25,746) by 29 July (12) to cover the cost of a star on the famous sidewalk - and the tragic actor's mum Judy is backing the campaign.
The group has arranged for an official to sign an application to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for the recognition, at a cost of $30,000 (£19,310) plus an additional $10,000 (£6,436) in fees, with donations returned if the full amount is not raised.
In a statement on the campaign group's website, organisers say, "Corey Haim gave memories to a lot of people and a generation of film goers. His unfortunate death at a young age left behind a legacy of entertainment that should be recognised with the most basic of Hollywood awards."
