Comedian Bill Cosby will help to celebrate pianist Herbie Hancock's 70th birthday at an upcoming concert held in the jazz icon's honour.
The gig, part of New York's CareFusion Jazz Festival, is set to feature The Cosby Show star alongside trumpeter Terence Blanchard and saxophonists Joe Lovano and Wayne Shorter.
Festival producer George Wein says, "That will be a very exciting night - perhaps one of the unique nights in the history of the festival with a lot of people coming just to salute Herbie."
Herbie Hancock, Seven Decades: The Birthday Celebration will take place at Manhattan's Carnegie Hall on 24 June (10), although the music great will actually mark the milestone on 12 April (10).
