Mindy Mccready - Country Star Mindy Mccready Missing With Young Son
A missing persons report has been filed for country star Mindy McCready and her 5-year-old son Zander. The Department of Children and Families say the report was filed on Tuesday evening (29 November, 2011) after the singer left her father's home, according to the Associated Press.
McCready, whose troubled life has been filled with domestic abuse, Dui arrests and a suicide attempt, does not have custody of Zander - her mother does. She was only allowed to visit him at her father's house, but took off with the five year old yesterday. Department of Children and Families spokesman Terry Field said the agency have made a motion for an emergency pickup order - meaning the singer has until Thursday to return the child. Mindy, 36, released her debut album Ten Thousand Angels in 1996 - the record was certified two times platinum by the Riaa, while her second record If I Don't Stay the Night was certified Gold. The singer has also gained considerable press attention for her troubled personal life - in May 2006, he ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight was arrested and charged with attempted murder after beating and choking her. One year earlier, the country star was hospitalized after washing down 30 antidepressant pills while pregnant and she was also arrested for drunken driving, according to People magazine.
McCready reportedly accessed her Facebook account on Tuesday evening and said, "My son is not missing.police established that this afternoon via Skype".
