A Canadian music festival set to feature CREED and Weezer has been cancelled due to security issues.
The With Arms Wide Open hitmakers and rockers Weezer were due to kick-off Hockeyfest in Brantford, Ontario on Friday (01Jun12) but the three-day event has now been axed after local police officials pulled out of patrolling the event.
A statement issued by local police reads, "The Brantford Police Service supports and appreciates the importance of these events taking place in our city; however, the issues with the organization of Hockeyfest exceeded matters of security and left other involved agencies with a similar sense of frustration."
No other information was available as WENN went to press.
