Eminem is reforming D12.

The leader of the rap group says they are planning to head back into the studio after a five-year hiatus - which followed the murder of group member Proof - insisting his friend would have wanted the collective to carry on.

He told BET radio's Rap City programme: "Right now, my music would probably be the same if Proof was still alive.

"I think this is what Proof always wanted, for me to go crazy again. My life would be different because I would still have him. Me and the guys, we got a bond, it's special. It's like, as far as the future of D12, we're gonna be back in the studio soon."

Eminem's bandmate Bizarre said earlier this year the group would reform once they had finished working on solo projects.

He said: "Everybody's in D12 and we're doing good. A new album is definitely going to happen. We're working on it right now, Eminem is coming out first with 'Relapse', I'm recording a couple of songs. Big up to Dr. Dre."
