Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama has been hospitalised in New Delhi, India. The spiritual teacher, who underwent an operation to remove gallstones last year (Oct08), was admitted to hospital on Monday (02Feb09) after complaining of "a mild discomfort" in his arms.
Spokesman Tenzin Taklha has revealed the Dalai Lama was diagnosed with "a pinched nerve."
Taklha says, "He was feeling a tingling sensation in his arms and we therefore thought it necessary to get a thorough check-up done as soon as possible. The doctors have said there was nothing to worry and he is fine and should be all right with some rest."
