Daniel Craig is "gagging" to start shooting the latest James Bond movie.

The next instalment of the hit movie franchise - which will see the 42-year-old British actor reprise his role as the suave spy for the third time - will begin filming later this year and despite enjoying the break between this and the last movie, he can't wait to get back to playing the iconic character.

He said: "We've got a script, it's fantastic I'm gagging to go, I've had a break now. Although it sort of seemed like it was never going to happen, it always was going to happen it was just a matter of sorting out people and financing. We start shooting October or November this year.

"It's been nice to have some time off from the role, it's given me a chance to have a break and have incredible opportunities like make this cowboy movie 'Cowboys & Aliens'.

Daniel stars opposite Harrison Ford in 'Cowboys & Aliens' and he revealed he was thrilled to play an American cowboy and work with his idol.

He explained to US TV show 'Extra': "I was surprised to be asked to play an American cowboy. They sent me The Script and the fact that xx had written and were producing it piqued my interest and I read it and thought great.

"I wanted to play a cowboy for as long as I could remember, but I genuinely thought I would never get the chance.

"I grew up watching Harrison's films and I've been a fan of him for years. Not only is he a great actor, he's a generous man and a generous actor. He's grumpy at times but he was great.

Cast members don't usually socialise they want to go home to their families but there was something about this movie, we all hung out together a lot."
