Daniel Craig gorged on Turkish food to celebrate wrapping on 'Skyfall'.

The 44-year-old actor reprised his role as James Bond for the third time in the 23rd movie in the franchise, and when filming finished in Istanbul, Turkey, he enjoyed some ''wonderful'' traditional food and ''a couple of beers'' to toast the occasion.

He said: ''We were in Istanbul and Turkey towards the end of the shoot so I just ate wonderful Turkish food which isn't exactly the most slimming. But it's just wonderful. I didn't get incredibly overweight but I had a couple of beers the night before I went to bed to relax me.''

Daniel ''f***ing loved'' portraying the suave spy for a third time and the 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' stars thinks a big part of the film's success is down to cinematographer Roger Deakins, admitting it was ''such a coup'' when he agreed to take on the job.

He added to Collider.com: ''I'm a huge, huge fan and the look of the movie is so crucially important. That's where they started off so many years ago trying to get the right people in and Roger agreeing to do it was such a coup.

''We were so lucky, we had lists of people we wanted to do the movie and genuinely, the person at the top of the list said, 'Yes'. It doesn't always make a good movie but Sam kept everybody together.''

'Skyfall' - which is out now in the UK - also stars Dame Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe.
