Daniel Craig Wants Bond Return
Daniel Craig loves playing James Bond and can't wait to reprise his role as the iconic British spy again.
The next instalment of the hit movie franchise - which would see the 42-year-old British actor reprise his role as the suave spy for the third time - has been placed on hold indefinitely due to finance problems with studio MGM but the actor is hoping the difficulties can be resolved soon.
He is quoted by website Absolute Now as saying: "The new Bond movie is on hold but I am champing at the bit to get going on it as quickly as possible. I love playing Bond - I don't want to be away from it for too long."
It was recently reported that producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson - who have worked on a number of the spy movies including 'Quantum of Solace' and 'Casino Royale' with Daniel - are said to be concerned that delays to the 23rd movie in the series could kill off the franchise for good.
An insider said: "They're completely panicked that if they go five, six years without a Bond movie, it'll be over. They don't want to kill the golden goose."
However, former Bond screenwriter Bruce Feirstein, who worked on new 007 video game 'Blood Stone', is not concerned about the future of the spy franchise.
He recently said: "I'm not worried about 007. There's a line at the end of every movie which we used in the video game: It's that James Bond will return... It's been true for 50 years. A hiccup like what's going on at MGM is not going to change that."
