Authorities in Australia are to drop an assault charge against actor Daniel Ewing stemming from an alleged altercation with his fiancee.
The Home and Away star was detained by cops at his apartment in Sydney last month (Dec11) after an argument with his partner, Marni Little, and Ewing subsequently pleaded not guilty to a charge of common assault.
Little, who accompanied her partner to his last court hearing, was recently granted a request for an interim apprehended violence order (Avo) against Ewing to be lifted, and now the assault charge will also be dismissed, according to News.com.au.
A statement from New South Wales Police reads, "Nsw Police can confirm that common assault charges against a 26-year-old will be dropped as it is no longer a police investigation."
