Daniel Radcliffe - Daniel Radcliffe To Play Murder Suspect In Fantasy 'Horns'
Daniel Radcliffe will star in the forthcoming fantasy-thriller 'Horns', based on the bestselling cult novel by Joe Hill. The British actor post-Harry Potter career began solidly earlier this year, with his horror movie 'The Woman in Black' taking $127 million worldwide.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Radcliffe will soon begin work on 'Horns', directed by Alexandre Aja for Red Granite Pictures and Mandalay Pictures. The actor will play Ig Perrish, the lead suspect in the violent rape and killing of his girlfriend. Hung-over from a night of heavy drinking, Ig awakens to find horns have grown out of his head. Their power drives people to confess their sin - an effective tool in attempting to establish who killed his girlfriend. Hill's original novel was a New York Times bestseller for six weeks and becoming a huge hit worldwide. Director Aja said, "After reading Joe Hill's cult book, I couldn't resist temptation to dive into the devilish underworld and reinvent a universal myth.Horns is a wild ride of sin and crime, with a love story in its heart". It's the latest project for Red Granite, who are also financing Martin Scorsese's next movie, 'The Wolf of Wall Street', with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Before beginning work on 'Horns', Radcliffe will star as legendary beat poet Allen Ginsberg in 'Kill Your Darlings'. The movie will focus on a murder in 1944, which draws together Ginsberg and Jack Kerouac.
