David Arquette Opens Up About Drink And Drugs On Oprah - Comments and Message Board

I cant have one bit of sympathy for David Arquett. I was an alcoholic over 30 years ago until I realized I was hurting noone but myself and I quit. It can be done. A HUGE difference to me is I can't possibly see why anything was missing in his life if as he said Courtney Cox...undenieably one of the most beautiful women on the planet...really was his best friend and in love with him.....not to mention his georgeous little girl undoubtedly loved him....she is too young to know better. Further Oprah really should preview these shows before airing them. I don't remember the self help guru black lady a couple weeks ago's name but people who say "Youknow....and um....you know...." are doing nothing but trying to get people to agree with them....It's a question not a statement. She could have cut these shows lengths in half by editing out "You know...". Definately not Oprahs best work. In case you want to think I'm just prejudiced I'm 56, white, male and for the most part a true Oprah fan....90% of the time. I turned off the show with "self help guru...I thought you said....I thought you meant....". As to Arquette he is incredibly lucky to have CC and his daughter and two loving intelligent sisters who stand by him....GROW UP! Guys like me would trade places with you in a heartbeat and love every second of it.....no drugs....no alchohol no whiny self pity.
