David Beckham's H&M underwear ad campaign has been a no-expense-spared affair, with a video commercial due to be shown in one of this weekend's lucrative Super Bowl advertising slots. And the infamous footballer has told The Mirror that - unlike his good friend James Corden - he has never had to rely on extra padding from his football socks to help him out on his underwear photo shoots.
Corden once mimicked Beckham's iconic Armani underwear pose, but with a rather obvious addition in his pants. But Beckham told The Mirror: "I've never, ever done a James [Corden] and padded out my pants, or shoved socks down there though. I've never had to for any of the photo-shoots I've done because, hopefully, I don't need to. Well, let's just say I've been told I don't need any help in that department... I think I'm pretty OK." Unlike his wife, Victoria Beckham, who uses other models to promote her fashion ranges, David took on the role himself and the pictures have been causing quite a stir. His sons, though, have been less impressed at their dad taking his kit off for the cameras yet again. According to the interview, when Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn first saw the new shots, they groaned "Oh my God Daddy, not again."
The LA Galaxy soccer star has also told reporters that he'd like his wife's former band The Spice Girls to reunite for the London 2012 Olympics: "She's a busy girl. The Olympics mean a lot to me so I'd love her to be there. But I'm not sure I can exactly demand her to do it."
