Soccer star David Beckham planned every last detail of his vow renewal with wife Victoria - he even picked the dress the fashion designer wore on the big day.
The Los Angeles Galaxy ace has told for the first time how he worked in secret to plan a romantic trip to Paris in 2008 to mark his ninth year of marriage to the former Spice Girl, who he wed in Ireland on 4 July, 1999.
Beckham took charge of the entire celebration without the singer's knowledge - and even picked out the designer outfit she donned to say 'I do' again.
He tells Britain's Elle magazine, "The most romantic thing I've ever done was probably when we renewed our wedding vows. It was a whole surprise, Victoria knew nothing about it. I had it all organised. I told her we were going out for lunch and I packed her bag.
"I had a dress ready for her to change into on the plane. I picked the dress. I picked everything. It was just a simple white Dolce & Gabbana dress, I think.
"This is going back a few years, when I was playing in Spain. So then we renewed our vows, flew on to Paris and had a night in Paris."
And Beckham insists his feelings are strong for Victoria, adding, "She's a great mum. Everything revolves around the children, as busy as she is, and that's what I love her for. Well, there are many other things that I love her for, but being an amazing mother is a very sexy quality and an adorable quality."
The Beckhams are parents to three boys - Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz - and a daughter, Harper.
