David Cross, the American actor, writer and stand-up comedian, is engaged to the 28-year-old actress Amber Tamblyn. The 47-year-old, best known for his role as Tobias Funke in the Fox sitcom Arrested Development, recently popped the question, reports US Weekly Magazine.
It will be the first marriage for Tamblyn, who first came to national attention playing Emily Quartermaine in the soap-opera General Hospital. Her feature film work includes roles in 'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants' 'The Grudge' and a brief role in Danny Boyle's '127 Hours'. She currently stars opposite Hugh Laurie on the medical drama 'House'. The couple were first rumoured to be dating in November 2008, although they did not officially 'step out' until 2009. David's representative says the pair are yet to announce a wedding date and no further details have been released regarding their engagement. The actor is currently starring in the sitcom 'The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret' about a man who takes a job running the sales team of energy drink Thunder Muscle at their London offices. The show also stars producer and director Spike Jonze.
Cross' fiance Amber Tamblyn is the goddaughter of actors Dean Stockwell and the late Dennis Hopper, as well as the Canadian musician NEIL YOUNG.
