Singer/actor David Essex is eyeing a return to films after 20 years - studio bosses are keen to adapt his West End musical for the big screen.
The Rock On hitmaker thrilled cinema audiences with his roles in cult 1970s movies Stardust and That'll Be The Day, but his last film role was in 1991 action thriller Shogun Warrior.
Essex is currently starring in West End musical All the Fun of the Fair, based on his 1975 album of the same name, and he's now revealed movie execs are in talks to make a film version of the show.
He tells British TV show This Morning, "There is big interest for it to be a film, with me in the lead."
