Davina Mccall To Take Up 'Serious' Actingby Contributor | 07 May 2008
TV star Davina Mccall has revealed that she wants to quit presenting to pursue serious acting roles.
She has even hired Michael Foster, the man who was behind Billie Piper's transformation from songstress to actress, to mastermind the next stage of her career.
As part of her career move, Davina will reportedly quit her job as the face of Big Brother when the ninth series ends this September.
"After doing so many series of Big Brother she's become bored," an insider tells the News Of The World, adding that she feels it is "the right time to move on".
"She's very excited and convinced that Michael can turn her into a serious actor."
Any roles that she is given will not be Davina's first acting gig she starred in the TV sitcom SAM'S GAME in the 1990s.
This follows news that songstress Lily Allen is also contemplating a career change and is turning her hand to comedy sketch writing along with her TV star pals JAMES CORDEN and MATTHEW HORNE of GAVIN AND STACEY fame.
