Dee Snider To Have Town Named After Him
Dee Snider, the legendary former frontman of Twisted Sister is to have a small town in Ohio named after him. Albeit for one day only, the town of Cridersville will become Sniderville on the August 21st 2010 with the musician set to host the local fundraiser Bikers for Babies.
Despite proposing the idea as a joke, the town dully took Snider up on his offer, leaving the rocker startled, he was quoted on a CNN.com blog as saying "Having a town change its name to mine-even though it is changing only a few letters-is one of the coolest things that's ever happened to me", adding, "It's even better that we can support the March of Dimes work to give all babies a healthy start in life."
Snider is now the host of the nationally syndicated radio show House of Hair, and in July 2010, he and his family began appearing in the reality show Growing Up Twisted', which aired on the Arts and Entertainment Network.
