Michael Jackson - Defence Expert Claims Michael Jackson Caused Own Death

Michael Jackson probably caused his own death by injecting himself with Propofol, an expert anaesthesiologist claimed in court today (28.10.11).

Defence witness Paul White took to the stand in the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray and directly challenged the testimony of the prosecution's main medical witness Dr. Steven Shafer.

Shafer had told the jury in his opinion the only plausible explanation for Jackson's death on June 29, 2009, was that Murray had administered the anaesthetic Propofol and left it running into his system, even after the singer had stopped breathing - the theory the prosecution has always maintained.

Defence lawyer Michael Flanagan asked White: "You think it was self-injection of Propofol ... between 11.30 and 12 o'clock? (that caused Jackson's death)"

To which White - who performed clinical studies of Propofol for years before it was approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration in 1989 - replied: "In my opinion, yes."

Later on in his testimony, White also corroborated a defence theory that the 'Thriller' singer swallowed several pills of the sedative lorazepam and that drug combined with the Propofol created a "perfect storm" of substances that killed him.

White said: "The fact that there is even a tiny amount of free lorazepam is consistent with the theory that he took lorazepam orally."

Flanagan quizzed White on whether the drugs Murray admitted to giving Jackson in his police interview - small injections of two sedatives and a half dose of Propofol - could have caused the singer's passing, asking: "Would this present a Dangerous situation here?"

White said: "Not at all."

White also claimed the level of Propofol found in Jackson's urine at his autopsy was consistent with his opinion that the pop legend gave himself the drug.

He also claimed he had been presented with no evidence that supported the prosecution's claims Murray had been administering Jackson with Propofol via an IV drip at the star's rented Los Angeles mansion.

During his testimony for the prosecution, Shafer argued the blood levels of Propofol in Jackson's system did not support the defence's self-injection theory.

Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor has recessed the case - which has been running for five weeks - until Monday (31.10.11) when the cross-examination of White, the defence's final witness, will continue.

Murray - who denies involuntary manslaughter - faces up to four years in prison if he is found guilty.

i supose.,i think, maybe, could be,outa be, is NOT testimony given of ones own personal experience. what could have happened may not be what happened. that tape clearly buried murray putting him at the scene, with full knowledge of what he was doing, followed deliberately telling the security not to call 911 until he had hidden all the meds. does that sound like a competent dr???that he not only admitted he gave mj the illegally shipped narcotic drug, dr skunbegm he left the iv, if there was one (covered over) is subtrafuge, poorly done at that. nothing this dr death has presented rings true. guess you could say he is quite literally between a rock and a hard place. pun intended

when court reconvenes* on HALLOWEEN, dr numb nutz defence will probably be "the devil made me do it" !!!!n the jackasssssssssssss dr admitted he gave mj the drugs. they all require prescriptions, it matters not what the patient wants, rather what the dr knows is in the patients best interest, no the $$$$$ in the drs eyes! dr doom changes his story hourly!!! does he think everyone is so stupid they cant remember what he said an hour ago. NOT!!!!(not even imaginative! stole that line from Flip Wilson)

COULD HAVE!!!this testimony is heresay. medications such as lorezapam are blood level meds that stay in your system for six or months after stopping. mj died from profol NOT ativan!!! in any event, mj wasnt standing on a street corner trying to cop drugs. THE MEDS WERE PRESCRIPTION MEDS NOT OTC. hade dr death not ordered them, it matters not. the ultimate blame falls on dr doom, who wrote the rx's then left the room knowing it was his responsibility to care for mj, not take a hike to call his bimbelettes and deliberately instructed security NOT to call 911. the tape of groggy mj, only serves to prove that the dr knew mj was doped up, knew it was illegal to ship narcotics across state lines, the outcome of the meds on a patients, dr death knew that the meds required to be administered ONLY in a hospital environment, he had the meds sent to a phoney address!!! NOT MJ!!!! this defence bs is nothing but bs to make the jury feel sorry for the pig dr, it was the dr who delayed the call to 911 in order to scoop up and seceret the drugs. DR DEATH WAS ENABLER, who swore an oath to do no harm. dr is stewing in his own juice. one does not put something dangerous within reach of someone who could be harmed by same. do you put a poison lollipop in a place where a child can reach it, knowingly walk away, them blame the child for licking it and dieing*?? this contention is ludacrious!!! who gave the meds is responsible not the person they were admninistered to. it was dr death s duty to insure the well being of mj, not the other way around. mj was not the doctor. the dr was an enabler with $$ signs in his eyes wheter or not he physically administered same, if not for dr bs the drugs would not have been available, it is a felony murder
