Denzel Washington is in talks to star in 'Safe House'.
The 55-year-old actor is in negotiations to take a leading role in the spy thriller, written by 'An Inconvenient Truth' director David Guggenheim.
The movie tells the tale of a US special agent who goes on the run in South America with a prisoner - played by Denzel - whose safe house is attacked, New York Magazine's Vulture blog reports.
No director has yet been attached to the project.
Although he has yet to sign on officially to the film, it would continue the actor's love of thriller movies - he has previously starred in classics such as 'Training Day', 'The Manchurian Candidate' and 'American Gangster'.
Despite being a two-time Oscar winner, Denzel's career has been slow in the recent past, only starring in two films in the last three years.
