Dianna Agron Questions Parents Over Gq Glee Shoot
Dianna Agron, the star of hit US show Glee, has hit back at criticism of her recent GQ photo-shoot, which saw members of the shows cast posing for revealing and risque photographs. 24-year-old Agron appeared alongside Lea Michele and Cory Monteith in the shoot, which the Parents Television Council said 'bordered on paedophilia'.
However, despite giving a loose apology on her personal blog, Agron has questioned why parents are allowing their young children to read the magazine in the first place, she said, "If you are hurt or these photos make you uncomfortable, it was never our intention. If your eight-year-old has a copy of our GQ cover in hand, again I am sorry. But I would have to ask, how on earth did it get there?" She went on to explain how parents could stop their children from accessing such material, saying, "There are parental locks, and ways to get around this".
Despite the fact that Agron and Michele are 24-years old and Monteith is 28, the photo-shoot has been criticised largely because the cast of GLEE play high-school students, and the majority of the show's fan base are said to be aged between 8 and 12-years old. GLEE season 2 is currently airing on the Fox network.
