Dior's Raf Simons was a huge hit among the stars at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Dior creative director is credited with the luxury fashion house's impressive presence on the red carpet at this year's film industry gala in the south of France, with A-list stars including Jennifer Lawrence, Nicole Kidman and Marion Cotillard all opting for stunning Dior designs.

'The Hunger Games' beauty, who is the face of Miss Dior, and the 'Rust and Bone' actress, who is the face of Lady Dior, stayed loyal to the fashion brand by stepping out in couture dresses designed by Raf.

Jennifer, 22, wore a figure-hugging strapless white peplum dress at a party for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' last week and earned critical praise from fashion experts for her glamorous look.

Meanwhile, Marion was a vision of elegance in a strapless Dior gown - which featured blocks of white, black, yellow and blue - to the premiere of new movie 'Blood Ties'.

Cannes jury member Nicole also stuck close to her Dior allegiance in several outfits over the course of the fortnight. The actress added glamour to the red carpet in a vintage floral-print gown on the opening night of Cannes and also looked stylish in a black sequin sheath dress.

Other actresses who opted for Dior included 'The Great Gatsby' star Carey Mulligan, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Rooney Mara.

The other major theme on the red carpet this year was white. Starlets from around the world descended on Cannes in visionary white gowns including Jessica Chastain in full-sleeved Versace, Kylie Minogue in a daring Roberto Cavalli dress, and Lana Del Rey in Veronica Lake.
