Ronnie James Dio's widow has given the Black Sabbath reunion her blessing, insisting the rocker would have been a big supporter of the get together.
Dio fronted Black Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne quit the band and toured and recorded with bandmates Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler as Heaven & Hell in the years leading up to his death in 2010.
In November (11), Osbourne and drummer Bill Ward reteamed with Iommi and Butler to announce plans for festival shows and a new album in 2012, and Dio's widow Wendy believes her husband would have been happy to hear the old bandmates were getting back together.
And she's not the only one thrilled by the reunion news - former Sabbath frontman Glenn Hughes is also hoping to see the band perform live together again.
Hughes, who briefly fronted the heavy rock band in the mid-1980s, says, "I think it's wonderful that Ozzy now is sober and willing to bring it all together... It just shows how far they have come as brothers to come together at this time. I think it's perfect timing."
