Bosses at US do-it-yourself giants Home Depot are set to buy the dilapidated former home of crooner JIM REEVES.

The rundown Nashville, Tennessee property, which once housed The Jim Reeves Museum, was destined for demolition as it was considered too expensive to repair by city developers.

Home Depot bosses hope to carefully renovate the building, which was built in 1794 by one of Nashville's earliest settlers.
