Hip-hop star Dj Drama has landed a new job as part of the artists and repertoire (A&R) team at Atlantic Records.

Drama, who used to serve as T.I.'s official Dj, will help executives find new talent to add to the roster and develop musicians already signed to the label, which is currently home to the likes of Wiz Khalifa, Flo Rida, Bruno Mars, Sean Paul, T.I. and Janelle Monae.

He will also be charged with supervising new projects at his Mean Streets Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

A statement released by Drama reads: "My first two albums as an artist were on Atlantic. And I'm now looking forward to working with Craig (Kallman, Atlantic chairman/Ceo) and Julie (Greenwald, Atlantic Records Group chairman/Coo) in a new capacity, helping them break the label's next crop of amazing talent."

Drama's rap pal Ludacris has congratulated the Dj on his new gig on Instagram.com, sharing a photo of a news article about the job alongside the caption, "Well Deserved!"
