Dolly Parton, the country music legend has released her new album 'Better Day', her 41st studio album.

The Tennessee born singer-songwriter released her new album Better Day recently and it is the second album released on her Dolly Records label. It has been one of the most enduring careers in the music industry; 44 years since she released her debut album 'Hello, I'm Dolly' in 1967 but shows no sign of slowing down. Asked by Billboard.com where she sees her future, she replied "I just did a movie with Queen Latifah, "Joyful Noise," that comes out Jan. 12. So if that movie does good, maybe I'll do more. I still love Dollywood and Imagination Library, my literacy project, and I could never give up music." The Jolene singer is also about to embark on a 39-date tour of the United States, Europe and Australia in support of her latest release which she says is designed to make people feel good about themselves she continued to tell Billboard.com "it seemed that with everything being so doomsday-terrorists and bad weather and unemployment-we need a little sunshine. I know I can sing a good sad song, but people hate to hear me sing them. I wanted to do something people would want to hear."

Dolly Parton was born in Sevierville, Tennessee and grew up alongside 11 siblings; she is a multi-instrumentalist, actress and has also received several awards for her charity and philanthropy work which includes support and funding for animal welfare groups.
