Drew Barrymore has said that despite her good organisational skills behind the camera, her real life is a disaster. In an interview with Stylist Magazine, Barrymore discussed how, as a director, she is disciplined and hard-working, but said, "My real life is a disaster. You should see my hotel room right now. It looks like SID VISCIOUS is living there. It's absolutely nuts. I need to call somebody to help because it's started to look weird. I'm just a mess. My desk is a mess, I'm never organised, I lose everything."
Barrymore directed the 2009 film 'Whip It', starring Ellen Page, but admits she's still searching for another script to tackle next, she explained, "As a director, I'm really trying hard to find something I fall in love with again because it's a really long, intense job that you work on every day for the next three years".
Her most recent film as an actress is 'Going The Distance' which is released today (3rd September 2010) - the movie also features Barrymore's boyfriend Justin Long, and follows the story of a couple in a long distance relationship, focusing on their travels between Los Angeles, and Chicago.
