DSquared² are launching a range of childrenswear.

The Italian fashion house are preparing a line which will serve toddlers up to 14-year-olds for the spring/summer 2014 season.

Canadian duo Dean and Dan Caten, who head up the brand, said in a statement: ''It's baby time! As time passes, the Dsquared² family continues to flourish.

''Our customers have grown with us - now their children are also in need of cool and fun outfits. With this junior line we are finally answering the request of our clients: to create a real 'total look' for the entire family.''

The new junior wear range is set to be in-keeping with the rest of DSquared²'s theatrical look and will be unveiled at the Pitti Bambo trade fair in June.

The brand have signed a licensing deal with Brave Kid to produce the collection for five years, and partnered with Italian designer Andrea Montelpare on a junior footwear line.

Speaking of their deal, Montelpare said: ''We are eager to share our expertise and experience when it comes to baby/junior footwear. Soon enough, children will be able to wear high quality, 100 per cent made in Italy, stylish and fun shoes that interpret the spirit of the brand.''

The DSquared² children's collection will be stocked in the company's flagship stores in Milan, Paris and Tokyo as well as at department stores and independent childrenswear retailers.
