Ebert's Widow Developing Review Site
Chaz Ebert, the widow of Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert, has informed Ebert's fans that she plans to expand his website, Rogerebert.com, to provide an outlet for film criticism for both new and seasoned writers. After a long battle with cancer, Ebert died on April 4, 2013 at age 70. We will be making announcements in the next few weeks about changes Roger was putting into place before he left us, she wrote on the website, adding, I think you will be pleased. While many veteran film critics have become a vanishing breed, as a result of the continued declined of the newspaper business, Chaz Ebert wrote, the Internet in general and Rogerebert.com in particular are now offering an opportunity for many newer critics to display their wares.
