Cross-dressing comedian Eddie Izzard quit consulting psychiatrists in his search for the reasons behind his transvestism, after realising he knows more about the issue than most counsellors.
The British funnyman was so curious as to what drives his urge to wear make-up and women's clothes, he held talks with a range of professional psychologists.
But he gave up searching for answers after long counselling sessions left him baffled.
Izzard tells The Times Magazine, "The more I've gone on, the more I've felt they don't have any answers and I've got better answers than they have."
