Elizabeth Banks has signed up for comedy 'Walk of Shame'.

The 'Hunger Games' actress will star as a Los Angeles TV anchor who goes on a ''walk of shame'' after an uncharacteristic heavy night out when she loses out on an audition for her dream job.

But after waking up in a stranger's bed without her car, money and no recollection of what happened the night before, she listen's to an answer phone message from her agent which tells her she's landed the job. So she must endure a ''walk of shame'' across several neighbourhoods in an attempt to be on air by 5pm.

The motion picture is due to start shooting in January in Los Angeles and be directed by Steve Brill from his own script, with Tom Rosenberg, Gary Lucchesi and Sidney Kimmel set to produce.

Elizabeth recently turned her hand to producing this year in comedy musical movie 'Perfect Pitch', and 2013 looks set to be a big year for the 38-year-old actress when she stars in and directs comedy 'Movie 43', which features a large ensemble cast including Halle Berry and Kate Bosworth.

The blonde star will then reprise her role as Effie Trinket in 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'.
