Elizabeth Olsen is finally emerging from the shadow of her older twin sisters. Mary Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen became known across the world, for sharing the role of Michelle Tanner in the TV show Full House, whilst their younger sister had to bide her time to find her own fame. With Ashley having given up acting and Mary Kate lying relatively low after being caught up in the Heath Ledger death scandal, now is the time for little sister Elizabeth to shine.
The 23 year old is scheduled to appear in the forthcoming horror movie Silent House. The film is set for release in May 2012 and also stars Adam Trese. The film was shot in real-time and Olsen plays the role of a young woman helping her father renovate a haunted house. Speaking to the Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy blog, she explained that she had seen the Uruguayan original on which the film is based and talked about the challenges brought to the movie by filming it in real time. "We did a week of rehearsal; before we would film a section," Olsen explained, "It was this collaborative thing, to figure out what makes the most sense from the camera's point of view, from the character's point of view, as well as trying to create suspense. What's difficult is to not repeat anything."
