Sir Elton John and Mumford & Sons will pay tribute to The Band's Levon Helm at the Grammy Awards.

An all star line up including T-Bone Burnett, Zac Brown, Mavis Staples, and Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard will pay tribute to the musician, performing a version of his band's 'The Weight' at the awards on Sunday (10.02.13).

The drummer and singer - who was part of the influential group who backed Bob Dylan in the 60s before going on to have their own career - lost his fight against throat cancer last year (19.04.12) aged 71.

Paying tribute, Levon's former bandmate, Robbie Robertson, previously said: ''Levon is one of the most extraordinary talented people I've ever known and very much like an older brother to me.''

With The Band Levon received a Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award, two Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame.

This years' Grammy awards in Los Angeles will also feature performances from Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, The Lumineers, Black Keys, Fun. and Carrie Underwood.
