Elvis Presley - Elvis Presley Crypt Going Under The Hammer
Elvis Presley's private crypt is going under the hammer with a starting price of $100,000.
Elvis Presley's tomb is going under the hammer.
The private crypt, where the legendary singer was originally placed after he died in 1997, is set to be auctioned in Los Angeles, which will see one lucky fan getting the opportunity to be laid to rest in the tomb at Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.
The crypt has a starting price of $100,000, and that includes the opening and closing of the vault and crypt for memorial inscription, burial and the use of the chapel for a committal service.
Darren Julien, who is holding the Music Icons auction - which takes place on June 23 - believes the chance to purchase such a rare lot is not to be missed for big fans of the 'Suspicious Minds' hitmaker.
He said: ''I just consider that if you're an ultimate fan of Elvis Presley, it's an opportunity.
''It's definitely a conversation piece. Only one person can say, 'Hey, I'm going to be buried where Elvis Presley was.' ''
Elvis was at the tomb for around two months before his family successfully applied for a permit to have his body moved to the meditation garden of his Graceland mansion in Memphis, five miles away from Forest Hill Cemetery.
