Emily Deschanel was yesterday celebrating the arrival of her first child, the 34 year-old star of crime drama 'Bones' giving birth to a son called Henry.
Deschanel and husband David Hornsby - who plays Matthew Mara in the sitcom 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' - are set to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary tomorrow (25/9) and their newborn comes as a welcome early anniversary present, reports Us Magazine.
A strict vegan, Deschanel - whose also had roles in 'Glory Road' and 'My Sister's Keeper' - didn't stray from her dietary habits throughout the nine months pregnancy, something that she told Ladies Home Journal recently she still had to argue her case for. "I still have to defend myself because people don't understand it," she said, "As a pregnant woman especially, people will say to me, 'You must eat meat and dairy.'"
Emily's younger sister is of course Zooey Deschanel, star of 'Almost Famous,' 'The Hitchiker's Guide To The Galaxy' and '(500) Days Of Summer,' and she was quick to tweet her discovery that she'd become an Aunt, saying ""I am super excited to be an aunt!" She herself is currently working on an album, a Christmas record set to be released on October 25th.
