Eminem seems to be returning to his roots as he is set to release an EP with ROYCE DA 5'9", a rapper he first collaborated with in 1999, according to UK's Guardian Newspaper. They will both issue a set of new songs under the name Bad Meets Evil, due on 14 June.

Having met and joined forces for one song in Detroit on Eminem's 1999 debut album 'The Slim Shady LP', the collaborative force of Bad Meets Evil originated. But as Eminem grew in accolade over the following decade, ROYCE struggled to get a foothold in commercial success, with none of his four albums entering the Billboard Top 100. ROYCE soon became best known for his feud with Eminem's D12 Crew, with whom he traded a series of dissing tracks. Having settled their disagreement a few years ago, ROYCE's new group, Slaughterhouse, signed onto Eminem's record label, and thus paved the way for this Bad Meets Evil comeback. In a statement, Eminem said, 'ROYCE and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio. At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are.'

Producers Denaun Porter, Mobb Deep's Havoc, DJ Khalil and Bangladesh have all been tipped to provide beats for the project. Eminem is set to headline Lollapalooza, the annual US music festival, this summer alongside The Foo Fighters, Muse and COLDPLAY.
