Animals rocker Eric Burdon has signed a deal to pen a third edition of his memoirs.
The House of the Rising Sun singer will release Breathless through publisher Alfred Music later this year (13).
He says, "I live my life, breathless... A life of constant motion and excitement. A life that many will envy and most would avoid! I'm extremely fortunate, at age 71, to look back on my life and write down some of the incredible things that have happened to me. In the day-to-day life of a traveling musician, it's easy to miss so many details.
"I'm writing this book to help myself remember the past, acknowledge the present and help the new generation to discover their own truth... I am writing this book for all of you who helped me discover who I am today."
Breathless will be the third book detailing Burdon's life and music career: in 1986 he released I Used to be an Animal, But I'm Alright Now, which looked at his childhood in Newcastle, England and finding fame with the Animals, while 2002's Don't Let Me be Misunderstood detailed his tumultuous ride as a rock star.
