A Jason Aldean fan was shot on Friday (27Jul12) while attending the country star's show in North Carolina.
The singer had just wrapped his gig at the Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion in Raleigh when concertgoers began exiting the venue and spilling out into the parking lot. A gunman later opened fire, wounding a man, whose name and age have not been released.
The victim was transported to nearby WakeMed hospital for treatment and law enforcement officials are currently investigating the incident, reports local news outlet Wral.
The My Kinda Party hitmaker has since taken to his Twitter.com account to condemn the violence and offer his condolences, writing in a post, "There's no excuse 4 things getting that heated leavin a show. I'm prayin 4 the fan who was injured and thanx to the Raleigh police for acting so quickly (sic)."
