Festivalgoers will be dribbling with anticipation as they wait for the Glastonbury ticket sale balloon to go up.

From 09:00 BST tomorrow those who wish to attend the 2007 edition of one of the world's most famous music festivals will be able to secure their £145 tickets.

They will pay a further £5 per ticket to cover a handling charge and an additional £4 for each transaction.

After there was no Glastonbury at all last year the final approval granted by Mendip district council last week comes as more of a relief to those wishing to enjoy the fresh air and pleasant green fields of Somerset.

Something like that, anyway. Acts like The Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Dame Shirley Bassey, The Killers and The Kaiser Chiefs might also have something to do with it.

There is a hitch, however. Only those who have obtained a registration number in the pre-purchasing process will be able to get into the festival in organiser Michael Eavis' latest effort against ticket-touting.
