Fearne Cotton has become the patron of breast cancer awareness charity Coppafeel. The charity, set up by 23 year-old breast cancer sufferer KRISTEN HALLENGA, will use Fearne Cotton's high profile amongst young people to encourage them to check their breasts for the signs of cancer. Hallenga was interviewed by Cotton for BBC's Newsbeat, Hallenga said: "I was diagnosed in 2009, and that was 8 months after I first went to the doctors. I was told 3 times that I was just too young to get breast cancer. I decided that my story needed to be told, and we need to get young people thinking about breast cancer."
Cotton has featured in a new Coppafeel video, which encourages young people to check themselves regularly, which can be seen on Vimeo and on Cotton's official website. Fearne has been keeping herself busy since she called off her engagement to US skateboarder Jesse Jenkins last month, and is currently presenting for the BBC at this year's Glastonbury Festival. She tweeted yesterday: "Morning. Last night post bbc3 coverage I sang loudly in the mud to u2 then raved hard to Annie MAC in the dance village. She was incredible." It is thought that there was nobody else involved in her split from Jenkins, and there is no word on any new romance as of yet.
