UGLY BETTY star America Ferrera can live a normal life now the TV show has moved from Los Angeles to New York City, because she can live anonymously in the Big Apple.
The series was relocated to Manhattan earlier this year (08) to capitalise on new tax incentives on offer in the city.
And Ferrera insists that the relocation has revived the show's cast because of the bustling city's boundless energy and nonchalant attitude.
She says, "I love shooting Ugly Betty here. I love New York. I feed off the energy. New York streets are so alive, it truly gives you inspiration.
"And the people? Incredible. They don't care who you are. They recognise you, but go right on with their lives. Like, they see me and holler: 'Betty, we love you... now move, you're blocking traffic.'"
