Movie bosses behind the Twilight film franchise have issued a statement offering their condolences to the family of the film fan killed outside the Comic-Con celebration on Tuesday (10Jul12).
The 53 year old, identified as Gisela G, lost her life after she was hit by a car while crossing a road to take her place in a line for Thursday's (12Jul12) Twilight panel discussion.
A statement from Lionsgate and Summit Entertainment bosses reads: "Lionsgate, Summit and the entire Twilight community are saddened by the death of a Comic-Con fan today due to a traffic accident during the hours leading up to this year’s convention in San Diego.
"Our thoughts and condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends. She will be respectfully remembered this Thursday in Hall H."
The late fan's Twitter.com page was flooded with condolences from fellow Twilight devotees, some of whom were outside Comic-Con when the accident that claimed Gisela G's life happened.
