Colin Firth - Firth's Wife Keeps Him Down To Earth

Colin Firth credits his wife LIVIA with keeping him grounded throughout his Hollywood career, insisting his stable home life helps him "remain sane as an actor".
The Bridget Jones's Diary star shuns glitzy showbiz parties and instead prefers to spend his free time with his Italian film producer/director wife, who he married in 1997, and their two sons.
And he admits he would struggle with fame without his family.
He tells Britain's OK! magazine, "I appreciate the smiles I receive on occasion from rather beautiful women. But my heart is reserved for my lovely wife Livia. I believe that if you're going to remain sane as an actor you have to build a strong home life for yourself or you're going to wind up very lost.
"It's not an accident that many people in my profession struggle with all the temptations and the havoc that wreaks upon you. You need your wife and children to keep your head from exploding. You need to feel calm and stable away from your work as an actor...
"Livia does an outstanding job of keeping me calm and centred. She keeps my feet on the ground and helps me deal with all the ups and downs that actors experience in terms of the great roles you don't get."
