Flo Rida's personal assistant was arrested in Australia on Sunday night (23Oct11) and fined for drug possession.
The rapper is currently touring Down Under, but the trip took a turn for the worse when cops raided the star's hotel suite in Queensland just hours before he was due on stage at a show in Townsville.
Dakari Dalawn Phillips, an employee of the star's Img Strongarm Management, was arrested and charged with possessing dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of restricted drugs and possession of a weapon after cops allegedly found marijuana, a rolled joint, Viagra, a bottle of liquid cannabis and a Taser.
The raid came after officers of the Northern Region Drug Squad received a tip-off which suggested the smell of marijuana was coming from the hotel room.
Phillips spent a night in jail and appeared at Townsville Magistrates Court on Monday (24Oct11), when he was handed a fine of $1,865 (£1,243) and released as he has no previous criminal record, according to Australia's Herald Sun.
The incident came just a day after Flo Rida cancelled an appearance at Australia's Fat As Butter music festival due to "unforeseen circumstances".
