Rocker LITA FORD refuses to have anything to do with the much-hyped new film about her all-girl punk group THE RUNAWAYS after former bandmate Joan Jett's manager reportedly offered her a pittance to get involved.
Angry Ford, who is portrayed by child star Alessandra Torresani in new film Cherry Bomb, claims she was offered $1,000 (£666) to sign off the rights to her life story.
She says, "I thought that was pretty disgusting. We never even replied."
And now she wants fans to know she's not backing the film, which also features Dakota Fanning and Twilight star Kristen Stewart as Jett, and won't be promoting it.
She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I just want people to know that I have nothing to do with that film."
